In my own Internet Marketing journey, I have tried a huge number of different platforms. Of course you cannot be definitive about opinion, but in my humble opinion the following resources have been superb for a number of reasons and i have no hesitation in recommending them:

Best Web Hosting Company – Hostgator

hostgator179When choosing my hosting company, I was pretty overwhelmed with all the different choices available. After all, it’s not just about going for the cheapest service, as the quality is usually reflected in the price. After a few bad decisions, I found Hostgator to be the best company to use, as they have great customer support, 99.9% uptime, and amazingly fast servers. Highly recommended!

Best Domain Registrar – GoDaddy

godaddy-logoSimilar to choosing my hosting account, there are many different domain registration companies available – with most of them offering the same features. However, GoDaddy has been around forever, and certainly know how to please their customers. Their prices are competitive, and their account management system is simple to use. My recommendation is that you keep all of your domain names in one place – I didn’t and it got very confusing keeping track of where they all were! If you haven’t tried GoDaddy  yet, I’d recommend doing so, and you’ll see what I mean!

Best WordPress Theme – OptimizePress

At some point you are going to need a professional looking website and when you do you will need a WordPress theme to govern how that website will look. There are plenty of free and low price themes and I used these at the beginning. My recommendation however is not to waste time (and in my case money too) but to go for the very best at the beginning. OptimizePress is a really clean cut theme with tons of extras. It does a lot more than your usual theme as it contains massive functionality to enable you to build opt-in pages, sales pages and membership sites. If you’re getting another theme you can get quite a lot of this as a plug-in (same price).

Best Email Autoresponder Service – AWeber

AWeberThere are many different autoresponders on the market nowadays, but AWeber has been my favourite service by far. Not only is their deliverability great (meaning my emails actually reach my subscribers’ email inboxes), but it’s also the easiest service to use out of them all. Sure, it’s a little more expensive than others, but you certainly get what you pay for (and ten times more!). You’ll also find that the bulk of courses that you take on ‘how to…’ use Aweber in their demonstration. That in itself was really useful. Customer support is again excellent.

Best Payment Processor – PayPal

PaypalIf you’re just starting out then i would strongly suggest you ignore all of the shopping cart software platforms and focus on keeping things really simple. PayPal is in my opinion the easiest payment system to set up (just a few clicks, and you’re ready to start receiving money), and the fact payments via PayPal are accepted pretty much anywhere in the world is always a massive benefit.

Best Video Editor –  Camtasia

CamtasiaVideo is increasing in its importance in making your presence felt online. It is a massive communication and sales tool and so you need to be able to manipulate your videos. Don’t mess around with cheap  editors – get the very best and that is Camtasia. You will then be able to fine tune your editing, add sound effects, animation, text banners and splice different videos together.
